Learn to Snorkel

For many people, the water's edge is the limit of their activity and their Knowledge. The world that lies beneath the surface holds fun and excitement for the snorkeller. As they explore this world they soon learn more about its inhabitants and the rich life to be found there.

This is one of the reason why people can become Passionate about our underwater world .

As an activity, snorkeling is within the reach of practically everyone. It does not ask for expensive or complicated equipment, and the basics are easy to learn.

It's also ideal for people of practically all age groups and is perfect as a family activity or with friends.

If you are planning a holiday to a promising snorkeling destination then it may be the moment to get some instruction before you go, so that the whole family can enjoy an underwater experience together!

The Snorkelling Club

The snorkelling is run in a similar fashion to the Dive Training with the training coming free as part of your memberships. The training will be carried out in blocks throughout the year with all members given free access to the courses. Members can be from 8 years old on wards and should be reasonable swimmers already.

The training begins with Basic snorkeling skills and works up to the Ocean Snorkel award.
Once Basic Snorkel Diver has been achieved members will be introduced to Oct o-Push ( under water hockey) , and other fun games, with the aim being to raise water confidence ready for the next levels and the Ocean Snorkel award.

When there is no formal training on members can practice their skills every Friday at the pool or get involved in one of the fit 4 diving swimming lessons/training sessions . Or just join us at the club for a drink and a chat what ever your age
Once qualified as Ocean Snorkel the club runs trips to the Angelsey coast to try out the skills for real. We also have inter clubs games of Oct o-push with other local clubs, and wear appropriate we pair up with the divers on there trips.


Add to this all the normal club activity , talks, seminars, dinner dances, social nights and days out and we hope you will agree that this is one of the best clubs in the area.

So What do I need to get started? Short answer Nothing! We have full kit that can be borrowed until you get yourself sorted out. Our Instructors are happy to plans trips to dive shops to make sure your have the correct kit when you are ready to buy it.

But I wear glasses? Not a problem! Most masks can be fitted with prescription lenses for those that need them and your instructor will cover this with you.
